The JV estimated to be worth 10 million euros over the next 5 years, initially covers Germany and a number of neighbouring countries and will allow Ferryworld access to the innovative Entee WebRes technology and supporting services. |
This will allow Ferryworld to extend their ferry distribution network by offering real time booking services through the Internet to German travel agencies and direct customers.
FerryWorld is wholly owned by Transcamion and Neptunia, both of which are established businesses that have been representing European passenger and freight Ferry operators for more than 25 years.
Entee Global Services is the leading supplier of real time Internet ferry travel reservation technology and WebRes technology is used by a number of the leading European ferry operators.
FerryWorld CEO Joachim Muhs said:
" This partnership will allow us to deliver a more responsive 24x7 service to all of our travel clients which will in turn produce significantly higher sales for our ferry operator partners at less cost and reduced administration."
Entee CEO Chris Howe-Davies commented:
"Our long term aim is to provide a Global real time ferry gateway and we see our relationship with FerryWorld as the first significant step in achieving this goal into Europe. By working with such highly regarded and experienced organisations as Neptunia and Transcamion we are confident of our ability to deliver the full potential of our WebRes technology."
