easyBus Goes With Easy Technology

Sutton Courtenay, Oxfordshire, Oxon (01, September 2004) – The easyBus low cost minibus service now enters the marketplace to provide high frequency, low cost commuter services linking towns, cities and airports not currently well served by rail or traditional bus and coach services. The first route in operation will be between Hendon and Milton Keynes, followed by Hendon to Luton airport.

WebRes, the technology driving the new concept in bus travel was designed and developed by Entee Global
Services Ltd (www.entee.co.uk), part of the 2Morrow Group (www.2morrowgroup.com) based in Oxfordshire. The WebRes design and development is based on more than 250 man years of experience in high performance real-time computing and travel industry knowledge to bring together integrated world beating travel technology. Phillip Jones, Chief Technology Officer for easyGroup said, “We chose Entee because of their proven track record in developing high-throughput transportation reservation systems. They demonstrated a good understanding of what we were trying to achieve and delivered a good quality solution on time and to budget”.

Customers who access the easyBus (www.easybus.co.uk) site will shuttle their way though the booking process utilizing easy to use drop-down boxes and defaults making the site user friendly; all within a secure environment
using front-end MS 2003 servers, Thwate Digital Certificate technology for secure credit card payments and user account transactions.

“The WebRes technology implementation for easyBus took approximately three months to configure, build and test, said Janette Stephens, Chief Operating Officer of the 2Morrow Group. The WebRes architecture is built
exclusively on Internet technology and incorporates the Microsoft server and relational database architectures to meet the high performance requirements demanded by easyBus.

WebRes is designed to meet the low cost business model and is particularly appropriate to new start up organisations.

Stephens added, “WebRes is being adopted on a global basis by forward looking organisations in all types of travel transportation sectors. “You will find our technology in the ferry, train, hotel, and flight markets; adding buses to our portfolio, and working with easyBus is not only exciting, but also demonstrates the confidence easyGroup has in 2morrow Group abilities, technology and support.”
