To provide real time online tracking and booking services for P&O Irish Sea Freight, P&O North Sea and P&O Portsmouth Freight customers. The tracking feature allows customers to check a unit at each stage of the crossing: from arrived, to loaded, to shipped, to outgated. The online booking feature gives P&O freight customers the ability to book their units on a specific sailing. Due to the nature of the business, there are also features to cancel and amend bookings. These systems took 3 months to implement.
The P&O Freight sites provides real-time tracking and booking facilities 24 hours a day. The tracking information is constantly being updated from remote mainframe computers to NT Servers via Entee's XML interactive interface.
