TransEuropa Ferries select WebRes system

TransEuropa Ferries select WebRes system

23 March 2010

Entee Global Services is very pleased to announce that TransEuropa Ferries have selected WebRes as their ferry reservation system for all passenger bookings. The system was selected in February and went live just 2 weeks after signed contract for bookings. The first operational sailing using WebRes will be on 27 March 2010.

The agreement allows TransEuropa Ferries to take advantage of the world's leading solution for ferry company technology.

Transeuropa Shipping Lines has been operating successfully between the two ports of Ostend and Ramsgate since 21 November 1998. The company is a ferry services group focusing in the following activities: shipping, stevedoring and line representation.

The company started as a single ship freight only operation between Ostend (Belgium) and Ramsgate (United Kingdom) in 1998 it expanded to include passengers in July 2004. There are now six ships sailing the route every day, providing the only direct, short sea channel crossing between Belgium and the UK.

Ostend provides entrance immediately into the Belgian, Dutch and German motorway network, saving up to 190km of driving on a round trip compared to the main French ports. Similarly at Ramsgate, the recently purpose-built and dedicated port road links to the largely dual carriageway A249 and then to the M2 motorway.
